James planned his marriage proposal at the Grove quickly—very quickly! On March 29th, he contacted me with an exciting idea: he wanted to propose on April 9th at the beautiful Grove in Watford. With less than two weeks to prepare, he jumped into action:
– He secured elegant accommodation at the Grove Hotel, ensuring a serene retreat for their stay.
– He worked with Emerald Events Hire, known for their beautiful decorations, to create a romantic setting.
– He arranged for a stunning custom engagement ring from Flawless, special and unique like their love.
– He booked a talented marriage proposal photographer (that’s me!) to capture every precious moment of the day
April 2025
On the day of the marriage proposal at the Grove, the weather was perfect. The sun shone brightly, warming the air, while a gentle breeze blew through the trees full of colorful flowers. It looked like a scene from a fairytale. I met James’s mother at the reception; she kindly led me to the proposal room, which was stunning. The room was spacious with high ceilings and large windows showing the beautiful gardens outside where colors blended beautifully with nature. Inside, a large heart made of lush red roses created a magical atmosphere that felt like a dream.
As James led Shannon toward the room, he playfully asked her to close her eyes, building the excitement for the surprise. Soft acoustic music played in the background, wrapping around them like a cozy hug as he guided her. Kneeling behind her, his heart raced with anticipation, and he told her to open her eyes. When she did, pure shock and joy filled her face. “Are you joking?!” she said, surprised. Tears filled her eyes as she hugged James tightly, showering him with kisses before finally saying “Yes.”

Imagine the thrill of proposing in a setting straight out of your favourite wizarding world! We’ll be documenting the story of an incredible couple who travelled all the way from Germany. Their timing was impeccable, arriving during the magical ‘Hogwarts in the Snow’ event, when the studios are transformed into a winter wonderland, bringing the wizarding world to life.
On The Day
Picture this: as we stroll through the picturesque settings of the great hall, adorned with Christmas trees and candle-lit ceilings, we step into festively decorated Gryffindor door rooms and, last but not least, the magnificent Platform 9 3/4. The Hogwarts Express, a favourite location for Harry Potter marriage proposals, was the perfect spot for Ben to pop the question. Despite the Christmas rush, the platform was surprisingly empty, creating an intimate and unforgettable backdrop for Ben and Karyna’s significant moment.
This beautiful Harry Potter marriage proposal was a resounding success; Karina said yes( yay!), and after both expressed their feelings and emotions, we continued our tour. They grabbed a butter beer, explored 4 Privet Drive, experienced snow in the backlot and finished the tour at the snow-covered model room.
