Let’s take a moment to relive Patrick and Amina’s dreamy London marriage proposal at Battersea Park last summer! Patrick reached out to me about an intimate picnic he had planned for his girlfriend, who was travelling from the States. He wanted to surprise her with something “very British,” and before he knew it, he was planning a full-on London marriage proposal!
Working with The Luxury Picnic Company, they collaborated on the location, food, and decor for the day. Patrick provided some guidance on how he envisioned the setup and which food menu he would like on the day, and the team took care of the rest.

When I arrived at the picnic location, it looked like a scene straight out of Bridgerton—lacey table runners, light and airy flowers, and Laurent-Perrier chilling in a silver vase adorned with pearls. Mouthwatering afternoon tea awaited them, creating the perfect atmosphere for a romantic lunch date and an ideal setting for a London marriage proposal.
As the couple arrived, they were greeted by a Vitamin String Quartet playing “Girls Like You” in the background. Amina looked so amazed that Patrick seized the moment to get down on one knee and ask her to marry him. Overwhelmed with joy, she could only say a heartfelt “yes!” Excited by this new milestone in their lives, Patrick and Amina decided to celebrate with champagne showers*.
